Looking for a black and brass fireplace spark screen? This beautiful fireplace screen in matte black with polished brass handles may be the one you are seeking. Pilgrim quality is evident in every detail and, unlike many less expensive fireplace screens available, Pilgrim screen mesh is made of a heavier wire construction with 8 strands of wire per inch for maximum safety against hot sparks and embers. The mesh is specially woven to ensure that no jagged edges are exposed. All frames In the SG and RSG Series of fireplace spark screens consist of large diameter steel rods welded to an extra heavy kick plate to provide rigid support and handles are securely bolted to the frame, not the mesh.

There are eight choices for sizes so you are sure of finding the one that will fit your fireplace. It is very important to size fireplace spark screens correctly. You do not want sparks to fly out of your fireplace and into the room. Please see our guidelines below for purchasing your fire place screen in the correct size.

This fire place screen comes in the following sizes and weights: #18356 31” W X 31” H X 6-1/2” D and weighs 15 lbs., #18357 39” W X 28” H X 6-1/2” D and weighs 16 lbs., #18358 39” W X 31” H X 6-1/2” D and weighs 17 lbs., #18359 44” W X 30” H X 6-1/2” D and weighs 18 lbs., #18360 44” W X 33” H X 6-1/2” D and weighs 19 lbs., #18361 50” W X 33” H X 6-1/2” D and weighs 23 lbs., #18350* 38” W X 37” H X 6-1/2” D and weighs 21 lbs., #18351* 44” W X 43” H X 6-1/2” D and weighs 22 lbs., #18352* 50” W X 49” H X 6-1/2” D and weighs 24 lbs.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ How to Select Your Fireplace Screen Size: Measure the height and the width of your fireplace opening. For Single Panel Fireplace Screen - Add 1-2 inches to the height and length measurements to determine screen size. For Folding Panel Fireplace Screens - Add 10-12 inches to the width and 1-3 inches to the height measurements to determine screen size. Click for a more detailed description on how to measure for your fireplace screen. * These sizes are the more popular Rumford Fireplace sizes. Rumford fireplaces were introduced by Count Rumford in the 1790’s as a means of improving the heating capabilities of the traditional masonry fireplace. A Rumford fireplace is designed to reflect more heat back into the room by decreasing the depth and flaring the sides of the firebox. This results in a higher level of radiant heat directed back into the room. Reviewed and approved by the BIA Fireplace and Chimney Committee, the BIA Rumford Fireplace is designed to simplify the construction of the brick masonry fireplace
